What You See in Others is Already Within You

Have you ever admired someone and wished that you possessed some of the qualities that you saw in them? Maybe you admire their leadership qualities or how organized they are. Perhaps it's how well they relate to others or how spiritual and grounded they seem. Whatever it may be, when you are able to notice something in another that really resonates with you. you are tapping into something that is already within you. It may not be activated in the same way or to the same degree as what you saw in the other person but it does exist inside of you.

Here are some questions you can ask of yourself to help deepen your relationship with yourself, while cultivating qualities you admire and mitigating those that you don't.

1. When you see a quality in someone that you admire, pause and ask yourself How does this quality show up in me? Then ask What can I do to grow this quality in me?

2. When you see a quality in someone that you don't like, pause and ask yourself How do I embody this quality with others? How do I embody this quality with myself?
