So, I’m gonna go out on a limb here and say if you’re reading this, somewhere inside you, you have a desire to grow as person. After writing that, I really don’t think anyone is going to openly admit to wanting to stay exactly where they’re at this very day for the remainder of their days. We all desire more, right? Everyday (literally) I have people tell me that they’re looking to grow. That they want to expand. If you agree. If you really want to know where you have some room for growth. Well, here’s the solution. Look to your fears. Fear is the mac-daddy Identification Expert when it comes to growth opportunities. Anytime you get feel fear, you should instantaneously sound off the alarms and bells that here is where some growth lies. Fear is like a flashing highway construction sign notifying you that growth is straight ahead. Know this: when you feel that heart-throbbing, sweaty-palms fear, you’re at the edge of your comfort zone. So, use fear as a treasure map to hunt down and find some growth opportunities. Growth is directly on the other side of that comfort zone. All you must do is push through that fear. This should make sense, right? I mean, if you were perfectly cool with something (no fear whatsoever), what possibility or room for personal growth would lie there, right? You already have that covered. So, then, let’s say we’ve identified an area where we would like to improve upon or grow. Good. Great. Grand. Wonderful. But hold on. There’s that fear thingy that gets in the way. Fear of failure. Fear of success. Fear of what others will say. Fear of how we’ll look. Fear of finding out whether we have what it takes or not. Fear of clowns. Fear of whatever. What the heck do we do now? Knowing a few things upfront will certainly help you move forward in spite of fear. 1. Realize that your mind can sometimes be the biggest friggin drama queen. It will conjure up the worstest (guessing that’s not a word) worst-case scenario ever to the point that taking whatever action you’re contemplating becomes a life-or-death situation. Know this fact so you can put your mind in check next time it does this. Remember, your mind is a tool for you to use. When thoughts like that occur, merely say the word “Cancel” to cancel them out. As well, know that the world isn’t going to end. 2. Fear is a mechanism that God uses. He uses fear to bring you closer to Him. He wants you to have faith and to put your trust in Him even when you don’t know what’s around the corner. So, you can look at fear as the price that God charges us to pursue and get what we’re after. He’s not going make it disappear. He wants to see if you’ll trust in Him and act in spite of it. Thereby bringing you two closer. So look. With belief and with this knowledge, here’s what you need to do. Take action. Step right through your fear. The funny thing and the true secret is that action defeats fear. By merely taking one step forward, you’re sure to loosen the grip that fear had on you previously. Keep moving forward. Soon you’ll be wondering why you were even fearful at all. That’s precisely why they say “that the only thing to fear is fear itself”. Its just a price tag that God puts there in order to see how serious you are AND if you’ll trust Him. All the best, Ron

I have a new cell phone. I didn’t want a new cell phone; I was perfectly happy with my 2020 cell phone, but it wasn’t happy with me. Its connector charging port was ailing. Failing, actually, the service tech told me. And besides, it was an old phone, what did I expect? Old? This to a woman who is more than content, read “thrilled,” to wear outdated fashions just because she likes them. And would willingly keep computers way past their supposed “shelf life.” Sigh. OK, fine,
