Many people think that you can take it anytime you want but what they do not know is that there are the best times to take it and if you follow those specific times, you will definitely be able to achieve the best results that you could ever think of. There are some different factors that can determine the best time of taking whey protein. These factors include your diet, your metabolism your workout regime among other factors. Nevertheless, there are some specific times that are considered the best foe taking whey protein to be able to get better results.

One of the best times to take whey protein is after waking up. The level of proteins do decrease during the night as you have been sleeping meaning that you have not eaten anything and the body will have used all the proteins that you have stored away. By taking whey protein, you are giving your body the nutrients that it needs to be able to kick start the day. After you wake up, your body is weak and in need of protein and this means that by giving it whey protein, you will make it strong to be able to accomplish its duties for that day.

Another best time to take whey protein is before workout. For whey protein to be effective, it should be taken 3-4 hours before workout as this will give the protein time to be broken down and be of use to the body during workout. Taking whey protein before workout also ensures that you have plenty of amino acids available during your training. Whey protein should also be take after workout. The muscles start to grow and repair immediately after a person is through with the workout. Taking whey protein will help in the repairing of body muscles as well as building new muscles as the muscles needs proteins and other nutrients to be repaired. To be able to achieve better results, Whey protein should be taken an hour after workou. Some people feel uncomfortable to take anything after they have been through workout. If you are such a person, you should take a rest and then you can take it afterwards.

Whey protein can also be taken between meals. This can help in providing the body with the nutrients that it needs at such a particular time. Before eating, the body at times might have exhausted its nutrients and this means that by taking whey protein, you are supplying it with the nutrients and in this way it will continue on repairing and building muscles. Taking it 30 minutes before meal also helps a person’s appetite to be lowered and this means that you will not have to eat a lot of food.

Before going to sleep is also another good time to take whey protein. This is because when one is sleeping, there is a lot of muscle breakdown and especially to those who are building their muscles and by taking whey protein; you are able to prevent it.
