Even too much of a good thing is never a good thing. A lack of balance creates one problem or another, but when the heart and mind become allies, anything is possible. In spite of all that is falling apart at the moment, there is greater promise for humanity than ever before because we are nearing that place where love and knowledge are finally on the same page.
Much of what has been discovered in the field of Quantum Physics provides validation for doubting left-brainers that what ancient mystics and gurus have taught for centuries just might be based in something substantial. This may be part of the reason the Newtonian scientist have tried to discredit the new theories.
There is another branch of science that is even more encouraging because it not only sheds light on the problem it suggests some probable solutions. Neuroscience and 21st century technology are proving that our brains are more flexible than we previously imagined. It’s not that you can’t teach an old dog new tricks, it’s that you have to go about doing it with a great deal of focused attention and repetition.
Add a little conscious intention and you have what neurscientist call "self-directed neuroplasticity" and what spirituality calls the Law of Attraction. Even though it’s only recently that the scientist who study our brains have been able to observe neural pathways and formulate theories about mental maps and how expectations create reality, there are others who tapped into this idea long before MRI's were invented.
Henry David Thoreau who lived between 1817 and 1862 knew how to sustain change:
“As a single footstep will not make a path on the earth, so a single thought will not make a pathway in the mind. To make a deep physical path we walk again and again. To make a deep mental path we must think again and again the kind of thoughts we wish to dominate our lives.”
There’s only one problem and Wallace D. Wattles nailed this one in 1910 in The Science of Getting Rich. Wallace pointed out that we need to think a particular way if we want to create abundance, however, he further stated:
“There is no labor from which most people shrink as they do from that of sustained and consecutive thought. It is the hardest work in the world. Especially when Truth is contrary to appearances.”
According to the headlines, there is a lack of abundance. According to Truth there is always more than enough:
“When you open and receive all that you already have, you will have more than you ever dreamed of…” --from Don't Stress~Manifest
Fortunately for us, we are living in a time when science and technology are providing solutions for those of us who don’t have the mental energy for the sustained and consecutive thought required to make the heart-felt sustainable changes we've long desired. When we learn to systematically tear down the mental constructs that separate us from the field of all possibilities we will be able to more easily access permanent prosperity.
Prosperity, abundance, peace on earth…it’s all within our reach and it's closer than ever before. This is truly a very exciting time to be alive! My favorite intention?...
"Thank you for the abundance to share abundance!"
