When Things Aren’t Right

There are times in life when we really can’t pinpoint what is wrong but we have a feeling that things just aren’t right. During these times we may feel uneasy. During these times we may feel a little stressed. During these times we may get angry quick. During these times we may not be able to know exactly why but we like we are a little out of control.

When things aren’t right in our minds and we can’t seem to focus on exactly what we need to do to fix things, we have a great resource where we can go to help us. God knows all we need. He knows exactly what is going on. He knows what has happened and will is going to happen. All we have to do when we feel things aren’t going right is to pray, listen, trust and to obey.

Psalm 5:8 “Lead me in the right path, O Lord, or my enemies will conquer me. Make your way plain for me to follow.”

When we pray to God asking Him to help us get through this feeling of uneasiness, we can give Him control of the situation. We can give Him our uneasiness and tell Him we are turning it over to Him. We can tell Him we know how great He is and we are going to do whatever He wants us to do. We can stop worrying about whatever the problem is and began to focus on doing His will and helping others.

When we listen to what He tells us, we will know what things He wants us to do. We can know these things by reading His word. We can know these things by quietly sitting and waiting on His voice to speak to us through our minds. We can know the things He wants us to do by looking for opportunities in our daily lives to help others.

When we trust in Him, we will not feel the anxiety any longer. When we give Him all our conce
s, our worries, our doubts, we will feel free again. We will be able to do whatever we need to do while He handles the hard part. He will take care of all things when we give these things to Him and let go of them so He can be in control.

When we obey what He asks us to do, we will want to begin to take action doing what He asks of us. When we take action through obedience, God will know we are truly trusting in Him and obeying His word. Taking action isn’t always easy but when we pray, trust and listen we can know we are doing what God wants. When we step out in faith, God will ensure His will is done.

There will be times when we feel things are just not right. That is when we should pray asking God for guidance, listen to His answers, trust Him to help us and obey His commands. Then we will be able to let go and let God be in control. When we let go of the frustrations of the world, the worries of the day and the uneasy feelings we get about others and ourselves, God can work through us and make a difference.
