When to Drink Water, When Losing Weight
According to a study that was published on August 23rd 2010 in Canada, it was found in two groups of baby boomers who ate exactly the same foods in a one month period; that those who drank 2 glasses of water before eating a meal, lost significantly more weight than the group who did not drink water before eating a meal.
This is important in weight loss for the baby boom population, because they are less physically active than the younger generation and therefore find it difficult to lose weight.
Baby boomers need to learn useful tips that will make weight loss much easier, without having to focus on accomplishing too much physical exercise. The drinking 2 glasses of water before a meal will help the process of losing weight faster, than drinking water with or after a meal.
The reason for this piece of advice, is that the water drunk before a meal, will be directed through your body for hydration; where it is needed most, for maintaining the full functioning of the whole human system. If it is taken with or after a meal, it will be taken into the digestion process and will not be used effectively to hydrate the cells of your body.
It is also important to the general population, who are drinking far many more acidic drinks, than natural water in their diet. The human body is made up of 80% water and our body demands neutral water for replenishing the body's fluid supply; which we lose through the internal processing and the eradication of heat through perspiration in our body.
Natural water comes in our household taps and is the healthiest beverage that you could possibly drink; because of our body wants and needs natural or neutral water, which is 7 on the alkaline / acid scale.
In today's western society, a large percentage of the population drink predominantly acidic drinks, through coffee; teas; sodas; alcohol; stimulant drinks; fruit juices and even bottled water (which is acidic in content!) with very little neutral water actually drunk.
There is the belief that natural water has many toxic elements that saturate the water supply, not unfiltered from chemical spraying of crops; which end up in our household water supply.
Manufactured carbon filters will eliminate the chlorine taste from the water, which is added to kill any potential bacteria in the water supply, but very little else. It is up to city professionals to test and eliminate other unforeseen chemical toxins in our household water, that could seriously jeopardize the safety of drinking water for human consumption.
A better way to improve on your overall health, fitness and weight loss, is to drink alkaline water; which has a pH of 9.5 that will also act as a healer to our body. Another name for this type of water is ionized water, because alkaline water is converted through a chemical process to provide negative ions that are attracted to vulnerable positive ions in our body, neutralizing them and healing our body.
It means that when ionized or alkaline water is consumed before meals, the negative ions search for positive ions remaining in your body from drinking acidic drinks. These negative ions attach to the positive ions, causing them to become neutral and healing your body of any pains or discomforts.
If you are overweight, you will find that your body will enjoy this type of water and will want you to drink more of it. By drinking more alkaline water than sodas or acidic drinks, your body will become stronger and more energized to engage in more productive activity. Your body will feel satisfied with this feeling, ensuring greater movement and thus greater weight loss.
