When Will Life Calm Down & Be Less Chaotic So That You Can Make Money Doing What You Love?

Simple Answer - NEVER!

Your life is your life at the moment and actually, it is the life of most entrepreneurs - at least the ones who are honest about it!

If you want to make money doing what you love, if you want to impact people with your product, service, if you want to increase your income, you are going to have to simply get on with it in the midst of the chaos.

I wish I could tell you that my life is some kind of organised awesomeness but no, it is not.

It is simply my life.

Three children who I adore are underfoot all day, every day as I have chosen to home-educate…

My hubby works from home as well so we all tend to be around each other quite a lot - A good thing that we love each other, right?!

I now have help with the house so that is one less thing to conce myself with…

I have to juggle being a present mum with being a great wife and my business and life gets intense at times.

When i started my business, I had no help at all.

I still remember the many, MANY tears as I tried to get everything organised. I have given that one up as a bad job. I now decide my priorities and get them done.

What are your priorities?

Is your business a priority or a ‘nice-to-have’?

How do you tell?

Look at your actions each day?

Do you make your business activity a ‘must’?

Or do you tell yourself that it can wait until after you have done everything else and then find that you are too tired to do anything to take your business forward?

And then you complain about having no time!

And yet, we all have the same 24 hours, you know!

Sometimes, this all comes down to identity - Who do you see yourself as?

An entrepreneur or just a regular norm?

The regular norm will fit it in if there is time, after attending to all the chaos of regular life…

The regular norm gets a regular life

The entrepreneur gets the extraordinary life.

What kind of a life do you want?

Building your business comes down to simple activities

1. Communication - You have a message to share with the world, then start talking about it - Blog about it, video yourself talking about what you believe in, write social media updates about it, Wanna do offline stuff then attend events, network with people, send out leaflets and share your message with them - Make this a routine.

2. Capture - Get them onto a mailing list, get them onto your social media profile, get them closer to you so that you can follow up with them

3. Close - Offer something for sale. Your own products or someone else’s products. Get over any resistance to selling. Stop second guessing - Just offer, offer, offer!

And a fourth thing would be to spend a little (or a lot of) time each day getting clear on what you are working towards. When life is chaotic, it is even more essential that you create space for some alone time where you write out your goals again, write out the big vision again, keep it top of mind. Life has a tendency to pull you off track if you let it. So deliberately design your life by writing it out and imagining it first and then doing the practical work to make it so.

OK, now to me, all the above seems simple and I do wonder if you are just getting all caught up looking for the complicated. Keep it simple, do the work repeatedly, regardless of how chaotic life is and you become someone who makes things happened despite chaos.

Give up any ideas of life getting calmer and easier…

No, honey, you are the one that changes!

And you change by choosing what you want out of life and you do whatever it takes to create it starting with the simple plan up there!
