The use of keywords on a web page
Search engines uses a complex algorithm to determine the relevancy of web pages w.r.t. search query. The number one factor which the search engines apply is the presence of the ‘search query’ in the document and also the positioning of the ‘search query’ to check whether it is present on the title, meta tags, header, alt tags etc.

Title Tag
The title of the web page is the most important part of the document. It is therefore, recommended to place keywords in the title tag. Make sure, the title should look user friendly and not keyword stuffed. You can take the help of a professional seo in this regard. A professional seo uses his/her ability to position the keywords in an attractive way.
H1 Tag (Heading)
In other words, H1 tag is the header tag or the heading of the article that you are offering to your readers. You should use this area for the placement of your keywords.
H2,H3…H5 Tags (Subheadings)
This is where semantic search works. Instead of using your main keywords on the H2 tags or subheading of your article, use synonyms or related words. Prepare an article which reads well and uses related words of the main keyword in the subheading.
Bold Tags
You must bold the words which you think are important for the user. You should use your mnain keywords here but do not over use it.
Images
You may include your keywords in the ‘alt’ attribute. Every image on the web page must have an alt tag which defines the image well. You should use your skills or take the help of a professional search engine optimizer to place your keywords in the alt tags.
Anchor Text
Another important relevancy judging technique is the use of anchor text for the ranking of the web page. You must use your main keywords on the ‘anchor text’ when you create a link to the page.Make sure to vary your anchor text or else the search engines might penalize your website.
