Have you taken up to sending emails to your prospective clients instead of giving a call to them? Is it that this is one mode of selling that you see since it lets you avoid any form of rejection which you need facing when making a call to customers? Do you need to keep waiting to get a response for the mails that you sent, expecting to see a green light so that you can proceed forward and help your sales graph get any better? This is true to be happening with a majority of people who only try and sell products and services and spend time to get a response in order to communicate with their prospects through electronic mails instead of dialing them up through a phone. You think you are one those people who does this? If so then you aren’t alone. There possibly could be two main reasons underlying this happening.
Fearing to face rejection- This is one main reason which compels to send emails instead of selling a thing through a phone call. People turn to emails in order to generate contacts from people but the outcome is not so rosy at majority of instances. This is one human psychology that we feel better off without a reply than hearing to the word, ‘no’ to anything.
Fearing Blocking- There may be a fear that your approach might get blocked by voicemail and gatekeepers. Getting through those makes it difficult for almost all to think further on trying and this is why it seems better to send an electronic mail rather than calling. So simply people use email generator to send bulk emails to various people.
rnEstablishing a strong connection with a customer via a mail is not possible in a way it can be done when talking to one on phone. This needs to be kept in mind that people hate spam mails. Some of the sales personnel have been sending such mails thinking that they would not be caught. The introductory emails are meant to inform people about a product and then sell it but there remain bleak chances that they would turn into capable sale of the products and services to be sold. Avoid the followings if selling via electronic mails.
Sales Pitches.
Thinking this means as the best mode of selling.
Putting your firm’s name in the subject line.
Conditioning your prospects in order to hide behind the mails that your send.
