Trends in real estate change dramatically from one year to the next, and it is no different in White Plains, New York. In White Plains, the commercial and residential real estate market to a turn for the worse a few short years ago, but the market is rebounding. The end of January 2011 showed all of New York on an upward climb, which is good news for the state and the nation. However, it was White Plains that shows a huge increase in the real estate market compared to other areas of the state.
White Plains, New York is certainly not the least expensive area in the state to buy property, in fact, the average sales price for property in January 2011 was $500,000, which is an increase of $4000 from the third week in January, so there is an upward trend being seen in the city, which of course affects everyone in a very positive way. When the real estate market is good, more businesses move into the area, more homes are bought by residential customers and the economy begins to turn the corner.
Many experts are predicting that the worst of the real estate market is behind and going forward into 2011 and beyond will begin to see an upward swing in the market. Conservative measures predict real estate trends as a whole in 2011 will only see about a 4 percent increase, but others are more optimistic. The truth is the economy in White Plains has improved enough to begin to see some increase in real estate moving, which of course is better for the economy everywhere. When one trickle of hope in a city turns the corner, it causes other areas to follow and before long the market improves.
It has been a tough road to turn around from the real estate industry demise just a few short years ago, but with a steadiness in government and statewide programs, there is movement and any kind of upward movement is up and good. The more people that land jobs in and around White Plains will mean more real estate will being to move, which then other cities begin to see, and they begin seeing job growth. Without the job growth, obviously there cannot be any increase in real estate trends in any upward fashion.
One of the benefits that White Plains has going for it is there are many industries in and around the city, making it a great place for people to find jobs and careers that actually pay. Many of those people are the very ones that will end up purchasing real estate in the same area in, which they live. Therefore, as the real estate trends begin to improve ever so slightly in White Plains and the nation, it shows that the country is capable of bouncing back from even the hardest recession. When it comes to real estate trends, it can change from week to week, but an upward trend is always a good sign of the future.
