Who the hell are you listening to?

So, I woke up to a negative email from someone…

It got past my filters and I read it way before I should have! I had not done my jou alling for the day. And yes, as I always walk with Spirit, I had connected but I like to have long convos with Him first thing before looking to see what is what in the online space. I ignored my own advice and read an email.

And it shook me a little…

It made me doubt myself a little…

It made me wonder why I do what I do, a little…

And then I caught myself.

Or maybe Spirit caught me…

“WHO ARE YOU ALLOWING TO CONTROL YOUR MIND”

“WHO WILL YOU RESPOND TO - THE NEGATIVE VOICE THAT HAS NEVER ACTUALLY WORKED WITH YOU OR THE OTHER VOICES FROM PEOPLE WHO HAVE OR THE VOICE OF SOURCE WITHIN?”

And in that moment, I remembered myself…

I shifted my focus back to the big ideas I have for my life…

I remembered just how fulfilling it had felt even just yesterday as I did ‘Tell Your Story’ and had a client give some awesome feedback to me.

I remembered that really I don’t do it for the accolades or the approval or despite the disapproval…

I do it because it is who I am …

It is the life I want to lead…

And if I don’t create it, who will?

It is easy to react to the negativity and forget all the positivity…

It is easy to get drawn back into the norm way of looking at the world…

Even I, with all the work that I have done on myself, get drawn back into the nonsense when I forget who I am and whose I am and what I am here to do…

But it is a decision to stay there.

It is a decision to act based on fear…

What decisions are you making?

Are you reacting to a negative voice in your life? Is your whole life a reaction to something some person said about you at some point? A lot of people live that way - Consciously, they have even forgotten the exact words used by this negative voice but they still react to the sense that they are not enough, that they are not to trust themselves or anyone else and they doubt their own dreams and so live a smaller life.

Is this the way you want your life to play out?

Because I can assure you of this, at some point, you will have a flash of clarity and you will regret making this choice…

Regret the time wasted as you doubted yourself and the impact you could have had on the planet…

Maybe, it will happen this time next year when you realise again that you wasted another year acting out of self-doubt…

Or maybe, it will be when you are older and grayer and about to die and you realise, you never really lived because you were afraid of the hugeness of your dreams, afraid of what someone somewhere said about you and you doubted your ability to make your big ideas happen.

Whenever it is, you will know that you allowed some crazy voice from your past story to control you, to cause you to doubt yourself and to make you live half a life.
