Part of what I do with some clients is getting them a new resume. Very often the most articulate and polished person has trouble "singing their own praises". One marketing professional, on paper, made herself sound like she was new to the business and not seasoned with twenty years plus experience. rnA good resume is a valuable tool not only for marketing but also as a way of exploring who you are and what you have to offer an employer. The process of writing a resume helps you work out who you are and what you want to do. Your resume should be tailored to a job and an industry. And you need to know how your expertise fits with your career goals. rnSo I would always advise talking with a professional resume writer, career consultant or coach and discussing your goals and what you bring to the table. If you don't you may end up with something that looks good but is not really you! And doesn't work!
