It's not uncommon to be afraid of making mistakes. We all make mistakes and sometimes the consequences are very unpleasant. That's why we tend to avoid doing things that can make us fail. Unfortunately this leads to avoidant behavior. Slowly we begin to avoid all the events that can potentially lead to mistakes, and embarrassment. The longer you keep avoiding things, the bigger the chance of developing social anxiety. Yes, avoiding events that can lead to failure can cause you to develop social phobia. Having social phobia is no fun. You end up staying at home, wondering what you could do to feel better. And it doesn't get any better. It just gets worse and worse and soon you need help or risk losing a job. As you can see, having a belief, that mistakes and failures are bad, is not doing you any good. In fact, it prevents you from speaking up whenever you have something to say. It prevents you to experience your life to its full. That's why you need to get rid of this limiting belief as soon as possible. You need to accept mistakes and failures as a part of life and a pure feedback and nothing more but feedback. Because when you fail at something, it doesn't mean that you are a failure. It means that you just failed at that task and that you need to do something differently in order to succeed. Failure is just information that you are doing something wrong and that you should do something else instead. So, try to see mistakes and failures as a perfect opportunity to learn and grow as a person. We all need to make mistakes in order to learn and grow. Of course, someone might say that you can learn from other people's mistakes. But that's just another excuse to do nothing and avoid doing things that can potentially lead to failure. So don't listen to those people. Learn from your own mistakes, and learn from other people's mistakes as well. The more you can learn about life, the more experience you can gain. It will become much easier to make decisions and enjoy life the way that you should. Lea how to eliminate limiting beliefs and prepare the terrain for self growth. Start looking at life as a journey that offers you learning experiences. These experiences will make you a much richer person.
