Did you know that in 2003 there's a survey showing that nearly 70% of all employees either have cheated with a coworker, or would like to have an office affair if given the opportunity?
Pretty astonishing, isn't it? And horrifying, too.

Unfortunately, it's the truth, and if you already suspect that your spouse could be cheating on you and that they could be cheating on you with someone at their place of employment, then this news certainly does not bode well for you.

When you start seeing numbers like that you start asking "What's wrong with marriages today?"
You start wondering why do affairs at work happen in the first place?
Well, let's go over some of the things that could be working against you if you suspect your spouse is being unfaithful.

In order to help you understand what could go wrong to cause someone to engage in a workplace affair, here are 4 reasons you might cheat at work:

#1. You're working over 40 hours per weekr
It seems fairly obvious that the more time you spend with someone the more likely you are to become attracted to them.
This is especially true if you have any chemistry at all with the person in question… It's only a matter of time until you will face the temptation of moving your relationship passed friendship and into the zone of infidelity.
How much time do you think it takes for friendship to turn into something more?
Keep it takes 10 hours? 20 hours? 100 hours? Even if it takes 400 hours to turn your spouse from a loving husband/wife into someone considering cheating, that's only 10 weeks of full time work!
The fact of the matter is that today we spend so much time at work that if you're not prepared for the temptation to report to face being around other people of the opposite gender, then you'll quickly find yourself over your head and you will likely end up having an affair.

#2. You Eat Lunch with Your Love
Every Dayr
What would you say is your typical first date?
It's probably something like dinner and a movie, right? Maybe even just dinner?
While I'm sure that your spouse isn't going to be dining at Olive Garden or some fancy restaurant on his/her lunch break, the fact of the matter is that eating together builds camaraderie. Everyone is in a good mood when their eating!
That's why it's so common for business meetings to take place over a meal...It just puts everyone in a good mood. It's biologically proven.
However, what's good for the businessman is bad for you as a suspicious spouse.
It means that your husband or wife is getting the opportunity to have a nice it down meal with the person they could be cheating with every single day that they're working. Obviously, this is likely going to help build a friendship past the point of innocence and into the temptation-zone.
It's just a matter of time.

#3. Throw in Bad Associations with Your Home Life, And...
You got yourself one ripe recipe for an office affair.
And if there are any problems at all in your marriage or in your family life, then that makes it exponentially MORE likely that your spouse will give in to temptation and cheat on you with a coworker.
If you notice the your spouse is pulling away from your Home Life, distancing themselves further and further away from you every single day, then this could be a sign that it's already too late to stop your spouse for cheating.
I'm sorry, but it's the truth.
They've had lots of time to build up chemistry with a coworker, and if you're having unrelated problems at home then that could be just the push they need to start an affair.

How Do You Find Out the Truth?
Well, unfortunately this is much easier said than done.
Work affairs are probably the most difficult thing to uncover because your spouse has so many EXCUSES that they can give you to get away with their affair. Overtime, business trips, office parties, etc can all be used as a front for your spouse to go see their lover.
