“Why Does the World Sing a Sorry Song”

“And How Can We Change Our Tune”

Look around you, so many people are sad, gloomy, and downbeat. Yet if you look hard you will also find those who are full of happiness, light, and love. Why the difference?

Down through history, there have been wars, battles, take over of countries, struggles, and even the demise of nations. And even in the mist of all of this, there have always been those who were afraid and full of doom and gloom. And those who were powerful, optimistic, and light-hearted.

In the Midst of a Storm— Two Different Types of People

A while back we went through a category 5 hurricane with winds that were over 225 miles per hour. And I have to tell you it was not easy. Yet there were those who were upbeat and laughing and glad they were alive when it was all over. There were those who were helping older people who had trees down in their yard. And there were those who were feeding people who were hungry. There were those who were helping those who lost their homes. And there were those who were giving first aid to those who were injured.

In fact, when some people from the states went to one little town out in the middle of nowhere they found a little old man. And they asked that little old man who needed help. And he directed them to all the people in the town who had lost their homes. Later that day when they took the little old man home… they found that his house was almost completely demolished and he hardly had any food… yet the little old man told them he was completely fine.

Then there were those who were looting and breaking windows and taking advantage of the situation. And some people even took their own lives because they could not endure the struggle.

What Makes This Difference?

Some stayed centered and help others because they had great faith in God. Whenever they were troubled they talked to God. When times were rough they gathered strength from God. When they were down and out… they were uplifted by their spiritual practice.

Life is a Personal Progression Down a Spiritual Path

So all in all, no matter what we have going on, no matter what difficulties we have, no matter how terrible things might become… there will be those who are uplifted and see the good in everything. Because they have faith… and faith keeps them feeling positive and strong.

So Talk to God Daily— Stay Strong— And All Will Be Well.
