Importance of Body Detox

Body Detox has been very commonly and regularly done by people nowadays. We probably have heard a lot about the benefits that body detox could be brought about. Detox or detoxification is known to be the method to get rid of toxins and waste in our body and make us feel more refreshed and energetic. Among all the most common detoxifications are herbal detox, colon cleansing, different types of fasting through juice, water or minimal eating and many more.

Toxins are found everywhere in our environment including the foods that we consumed everyday. Toxins get into our body through every possible ways or openings in our body. The most easiest way is through our breathe, and the air that we breathe in consists lot of toxins from the polluted air of industries, fumes of vehicles on the road, smoking, the spray of toxic chemical such as pesticide and etc. With the advancement in food processing nowadays, chemicals and toxins exist in almost every processed food that we eat each day which are the forms of preservative, coloring and etc. In addition to that, the tap water we drink each day is also treated with chemicals such as purification and cleansing agent. Once all these toxins get accumulated in our body, they can drain our body of energy and make us more susceptible to different kind of health problems.

Our bodies do naturally removes toxins through the processing of blood, but when the toxins get accumulated to a level that overburdened the natural cleansing mechanism in our body, it will then start to hamper the function of our body system. Gradually our body immune system start to break down and leave our body vulnerable to diseases, systems disorder or even trigger the change in behavioral or emotional that lead to depression. If you always feel overly tired, digestion disorder, gaining weight, aches and pains that could be the symptoms of triggering you to start a detox program.

How do you detox your body?

The most common and natural way to start a body detoxification is to stop our bad habits and kick start a detox diet , but it is important to consult your physician before you kick start a body detox plan, as it should usually be carried out under the advice and monitor of a medical practitioner. The first step to start a detox plan is to examine your eating habits, if you have the habit of eating junk food then you have to stop in right away as that would reduce your exposure to toxins such as coloring and preservatives.

A detox diet basically consists of mainly healthy organic food of vegetables and fruits, this will help to make sure no harmful elements such as preservatives and other chemicals that will increase the burden of our body detox system. Furthermore vegetables and fruits are rich in natural fiber, antioxidant, vitamins and mineral, all these nutrients are needed to maintain the health of our body as well as to help get rid of the accumulated waste in our body.

Usually about 60% of the accumulated waste in our body will be released in a course of 7 days of detoxification. Some people may encounter symptoms of illness during the detoxification process, but they are usually due to the discharge of the toxins and pollutants from our organs, cell which is generally a sign of healing. The symptoms may be stronger if your switch of diet and lifestyle are too drastic. Anywayk, the length of the cleansing or detox process depends on how many years you have abused your body with poor diet.

Lastly, If you are thinking of starting a detox diet, please make sure to consult a medical expert, as not everyone of us can go for body detoxification. It depends so much on individual’s body health condition
