The technique or method involvement in the hair transplant procedure facilitates the process of hair root extraction that is done either by the FUT technique or through the FUE hair transplant technique. The hair transplant method is wholly and solely responsible for the graft placement success as it allows the extraction of roots in a certain limitation. Of course, the FUT technique gives a good number of hair roots in comparison to the FUE technique. The hair transplant cost greatly affected by technique involvement and undoubtedly, it influences the procedure popularity as India becomes a global hub for the plastic & cosmetic surgeries due to the low-cost service availability. rnBefore going to analyse the superiority of the technique, it is important to discuss each technique separately. rnHere’s a look at the FUT Hair Transplant Procedure:rnThe FUT hair transplant procedure involves the strip excision from the safe donor part followed by a simple incision and suture in order to offer the desired number of hair roots. The FUT technique is a singular option that offers the permanent hair roots that remain forever on the scalp. The FUT hair transplant is a safe and healthy decision if a person is genetically affected by the hair loss problem. The later step of the slit creation, hairline design, dissection of grafts and the plantation of hair into the hair loss areas is all same in both techniques of the hair restoration. The FUE Hair TransplantrnThe FUE or follicular unit extraction is the way hair root extraction that is performed by the punching tool or machine in order to extract the single hair root in a single time. It is a time-consuming, pricey, and less-result oriented technique that works on the forecasting or speculation ability. It is also considered as the blind technique because the hair root’s angle and direction are not visible above from the scalp and random punching goes distracted in most of the punching moment. However, it gives a major chance for graft damage subsequently affects the outcomes by decreasing the number of live hair follicles. Why is FUE Not a Selective Method for the Genetic Baldness? • Results are susceptible in terms of sustainability: The results received by the FUT technique are not assured in terms of permanency as the dynamic punches during extraction of roots may deviate due to wrong angle and direction. The deviation in extraction point compels a surgeon to extract the root from unsafe areas also results in getting the less sustainable hair roots. This susceptibility in the sustainability makes a major drawback for the hair transplant procedure. • It is not suitable for Genetic baldness or Androgenic alopecia: The FUE technique is only suitable when a patient is underage to receive the restoration procedure or they have a strong need for the body hair transplant (BHT). The FUE technique is not allowed to treat the pattern baldness as the roots sustainability are not assured and taking root from the safe donor part is not recommended due to the instability of the areas. The donor areas got the stability only after attaining the maturity stage means above the age of 25. • It is not recommended for Greater Grade of Norwood Baldness: The FUE technique has limitations for the extraction of hair roots because of the dynamic and multiple punching that needs aesthetic distance for every punching affects the outcome of the procedure. The FUE can only solve the issue of a lesser grade of NW-baldness, i.e.., NW-I or NW-II. Moreover, the FUE doesn’t give the desired number of roots and cannot fulfil the dense-packed hair transplant goal. Denouement:rnOn the whole, we can say that the procedure of hair transplantation is a wise and worthy decision if chosen with the right technique which must be performed by the expert hair transplant Surgeon.
