“Why Giving is Important”
I had a person ask, “Why do you do all your work for free” and that’s a good question and deserves a good answer.
First of all, in a perfect world, we would all give our time, energy, and expertise freely. That way all of us would all have exactly what we need at all times. And if we are to move to this place of peace and love then it’s important that we walk our talk and give our time and energy to those in need.
We sometimes expect others to do this but we don’t do it ourselves. How is that ever going to work? It won’t! We have to get up and help with whatever options we have that we can give freely. Some have lots of physical energy to help build homes for the homeless. Some have expertise in helping people with health challenges. Others are great at help children who need love, whatever our expertise it’s important that we give it freely as much as possible.
Secondly, giving is doing God’s work. Giving is not always about money, it can be giving whatever we have. And Great Spirit is always giving freely… just look at nature… Mother Nature gives of her bounty to everyone with food, water, air to breath and more.
So why do we fear giving?
Fear is the opposite of Love and Truth… and Love and Truth are the same as God. They vibrate with that great spiritual energy that is so powerful that it’s impossible to contain. And when we are in fear… we fear not having enough and thus we don’t give of our time and energy… or anything else for that matter.
I have to say, at one time I did do my work for money. But I never felt comfortable with that situation because I knew there was a better way. And at the same time, giving freely I have never gone without what I need. And I stress “What I Need” not what I would like to have. The Universe, God, and Great Spirit will always bring to us what we put out into the world… one way of another. It may not be right now, not this very moment, but sooner or later in this lifetime or another our good works will come back to us in some way.
It’s kind of like having a savings account and if we keep withdrawing money from that account we end up with nothing. But if we keep making deposits sooner or later we end up with something that will help us through the hard times. The same goes for giving and karma. The more we give, the more we help others, the more we deposit into our karmic savings account. Thus sooner or later we will be able to draw upon that great karmic flow. Plus it feels good, the giver actually receives more than the one who receives… filled with positive feelings of love within.
So Give and Then Give Some More!
Many Blessings to Everyone
