What's home staging & why would we want to do it. Home staging is about creating a mood or an illusion. Every now and then home buyers buy on emotion not logic. It is about getting into the emotions of the buyer we have got to create that mood so that you can sell your home fast to the end buyer. Home staging can mean the difference between a sold home and an expired listing. People who take time to stage their home on average get 7 to 10 percent more for their homes and sell them in about a 3rd of the time. Appropriately executed staging leads the buyer's eyes to the attractive qualities of the home and away from any defects which all homes have.
Listed below are several tips to help you with your home staging agenda.

1. Depersonalize & de-clutter your property. The buyer wants to see themselves and their family occupying the home & not feel like they are a guest in someone else's house. Do away with all magnets and other items from your fridge. Remove family pictures from all of the walls and shelves.
2. Clean and remove any odors out of your home. Clean your home like it has never been cleaned, walls, windows, and baseboards. Smoke & pet odors happens to be the worst. Air out your house daily and have carpets cleaned for that new home smell. A home buyer will associate cleanliness with a well taken care of home.
3. Hire a handyman to take care of all the little repair odds and ends. Caulking bathrooms, kitchens & windows. Fix loose & broken flooring, tile, door knobs, hinges, most of which could very well be a deterrent to a possible buyer.
4. Establish the illusion of additional space. Eliminate any knickknacks & surplus furnishings to enlarge the rooms. Let the sunshine in, washing windows and increase the wattage on light bulbs can make a small space seem much larger. Add some fresh white paint, it will open space & again remove any unwanted smells.
5. Add some freshness into house. Add a crisp dish of fruit to the kitchen table. Bring in some fresh plants and flowers. Have all of the outside greenery cut , unkempt shrubs and grass cut & some general landscaping will add more instant interest to your house.

Selling your house is certainly challenging so when attempting to sell you should present your property in the very best light. You need to make your home more attractive than the 1000s of other homes in the current market. Bottom line staging your house will help you sell your home fast, sell your house quickly, and get a lot closer to your required asking price. Keep in mind, give the home a buyers eye view. Pack up and enlarge the space to present the illusion, more for the money. Remove the untidiness and add additional light. Brighter rooms activate buyers; no one wants to become a cave inhabitant so in tu
