It often seems that in order to get into shape you need to sign up to a gym or buy expensive fitness equipment. This is what the infomercials tell us as they try to tempt us to buy their latest fitness contraption. It's time to know the truth: you don't need any equipment nor a gym membership to get in awesome shape. You can use your body and your body alone to burn fat and get leaner, toner, and fitter. It's all a matter of knowing how to use it. This is the first reason why I love bodyweight workouts so much: they're cheap. I don't need to spend any money in order to do a fantastic workout with them. I can train for free as long as I have the will and the energy. The second thing which I love about bodyweight workouts is the fact that I can do them anywhere. Since I'm not obliged to have equipment with me to do them, I can train at home, in a hotel, outdoors, any place I want. The third thing I like about bodyweight workouts is that they work the body in its natural surrounding. Let's face it, lifting a dumbbell is not natural. It's not something we humans were evolved to do. It's not one of the things your body was created to perform. It works the muscles, this is true, but bodyweight training does so in a more natural and flowing way. Another thing which bodyweight training allows you to do while other forms of exercise do not is to move from one exercise to another quickly. Since you don't need to switch equipment or adjust weights or anything of the sort, you can create a fast circuit which makes the entire workout more effective. Some people believe that bodyweight training is less effective than gym workouts. If you're trying to build massive muscles this may be true. In that case, you need to the extra weights which gym workouts provide. However, if what you want is mostly to burn fat and get in shape, then this is an excellent way to train your body quickly and effectively. Check out this program of bodyweight training to see how its done: Shapeshifter Body Redesign. Some of my favorite bodyweight exercises include: For the legs: Squats, lunges, hip extensions, and calf raises.rnFor the abs: plank, reverse crunches, hip raises.rnFor the upper body: push ups, tricep dips, shoulder presses. If you do these exercises in your workouts, you will get results. I am sure of it.

Movement is one of the most honest forms of self-connection. The body never lies. It holds stress, records emotion, and reveals when something feels off. For many, this is why exercise has always been more than fitness; it’s therapy through motion. But not all movement heals. Some styles exhaust, others distract. True healing often begins in the slow, intentional kind, the kind that lets the body lead and the mind follow.rnThat’s where precision-based training, such as re
