If you Google ‘Software Company symbols’, you will notice that every fifth design consists of a touch of blue color. They might be different shades of blue and they might even be used differently, but the fact remains that blue is one of the most popular colors to be used for software company logo designs. Have you ever wondered why that is? Here are a few reasons why it is such a well-liked choice. rnI’m sure we all are aware of the effect that colors have on our mood and personality. Our reaction to colors is instantaneous and deep which makes it very important for an emblem creator to recognize the affect that each color makes on the customers decisions and choices and in turn affects the product’s acceptance. For example, red is a color that is popularly noticed in the fast food industry because it is attractive, energetic, fastens heartbeat and reminds you of hot and tempting meals which make it a perfect color for fast food restaurants. rnBlue, on the other hand, is a popular ‘favorite color’. It is the color of the sky and the sea and conveys confidence and significance which makes it is a famous choice for uniforms of police officers and other men of authority. But even within the shades of blue, interpretation and affect of the color varies. rnDark blue has often been associated with the corporate world and represents intelligence, stability and unity while the brilliant or electric blue is often considered dramatic and dynamic and is perfect to represent exhilaration. rnThe color that is most often seen in software houses emblems is dark blue as this color is the perfect blend of intelligence and dynamism along with retaining an amount of creativity and innovation. It is also the color that depicts professionalism and proficiency along with asking for trust in the company’s skills. All these characteristics make this a perfect color to be associated with a software house’s monogram.rnAnother reason for blue’s popularity is that it is probably the only color that is not gender specific and affects both the genders equally. It is also a color that is clam and soothing and invites trust and dependability. rnCompared with black, a color that is supremely authoritative and can be intimidating and compared with pink, a color that is feminine and informal, blue is the perfect color for a software company logo design that is confident without being intimidating and can be formal and informal. rnAnother color that is popularly seen in software symbols is green which gives a very natural and soothing feel to the image and complements blue perfectly. So if you are trying to design your own software company symbol, make sure that you use the right colors to create the right impression on the right people to guarantee success.
