Chattanooga seems to be finding its way out of the real estate property depression better than most cities within the US.. Again Chattanooga home sales has outpaced us and especially the southeast U.S. According to the Multiple Listing Service (MLS) in the greater Chattanooga Association of Realtors. Unit sales improved into positive territory, this appears to be a particular sign of local improvement. In May, Southeast Tennessee as well as the Northwest Georgia area saw the sale of 485 residential units, a .2% increase matched against just the previous month, and a 23% drop from a year ago this time. Chattanooga home sales are able to outpace much of the US as a result of many positive economic factors happening locally. Volkswagen has just opened their first plant in Tennessee that is home to over 2000 direct jobs. It was projected the total jobs created from the Volkswagen plant might be close to 10,000 inside the immediate Chattanooga area.Chattanooga has seen other companies such as Amazon recently choose to land another 1000 jobs in the city over the next year in addition to many smaller manufacturing companies. This a an excellent releif for any city where one in three homes sold in chattanooga were forclosure sales.rnWhen buyers are searhing for an area to purchase a home within the US. Chattanooga home cost are very low in addition to the price of living is less than most also.Families see Chattanooga home prices are lower than before and in addition Chattanooga consistently ranks in the top cities to live inside the US to live. The Chattanooga housing market just needs some help from other parts of the economy according to most realtors we spoke to. They feel the lenders have money but having a 20% down payment requirement for many purchases it's made it hard to view an actual rebound inside the housing market. Many we spoke to said potential buyers had wait longer for their credit score to go up or saving for a larger down payment so they could purchase a new home even in the Chattanooga home market. We see clients on daily basis with great credit and stable jobs unable to purchase a house in chattanooga because they cant come up with the down payment when a few years ago they could have taken benefit of the exact same sale. The future of the Chattanooga home market looks much brighter than most cities but America still needs to make sure their is just not to many lending restrictions of buys who should qualify and help us out of the slump. We have seen in years past how the housing market is one of the most important indicators of a recovery however it just has not made the rebound we have all hoped for. Lets all work together to push Chattanooga homes sales up over the next few years and please visit us at www.homesforsaleinchattanoogatn.com and let us find your dream home.
