Unfortunately not everyone grows up in this way. Some people are unaware of charities and by the time they are old enough to understand them they have no interest in supporting them at all.
Fortunately some outlets, like the Flip charity in Gibraltar for example, are doing something about this and ensuring that kids are made aware of the advantages of getting involved with charitable giving in Gibraltar. The idea is that this is something that should be learned at a younger age. When these children and teenagers grow into adults they are much more likely to get involved with philanthropic giving. This will ensure they can achieve a lot more in the world simply because of the knowledge they gained while growing up.
You may not have heard of the Flip charity but when you realise the meaning behind the word ‘flip’ you will see what an important place it has in the world. Flip stands for Future Leaders in Philanthropy. It focuses primarily on those teenagers who show an unusually high aptitude in learning. These teenagers could well turn out to be the business leaders of tomorrow; the people who will go on to create successful businesses. Entrepreneurs should always be encouraged but this scheme is supporting and nurturing teenagers in ways that have not been done before.
It’s all about giving back to society, and learning how important this is within the realm of our world. We can all improve the world we live in, but if we encourage this idea in the teenagers of today, we can ensure that the adults of tomorrow are able to give back in memorable and generous ways. Hopefully they will also spread the message to others so that more and more people can give back and gain rewards through doing so.
Of course it is impossible to know where these teenagers will end up. Many of them will no doubt be successful. If they are successful in business they will be inspired to give more back and to donate regular amounts of money to various good causes. Making a difference in the world can be done in many different ways however, and donating money is not the only one. Charitable giving in Gibraltar is very important and is developing and touching more and more people as time goes by. Those working to enlighten the teenagers of today are doing a lot to ensure that the adults of tomorrow make an even bigger difference than they would otherwise.
