Why is my ego so easily bruised? How do I make it stronger?

Our ego gets easily bruised because we have kept a wrong belief for countless lives! An odd start from me, let me introduce it to you one by one. What would that wrong belief be? If I call you by your name, let’s suppose it’s John (you may please insert your name here), and ask you, “Are you really John? Is that your real identity?”, you may reply, “Yes of course, I am John and that is my identity.” But are you John or your name is John?rnWhen we say, ‘My hair, My eyes, My face, My hands, My legs, My house, My car, My job, My family, My money… the one saying ‘My’ is always separate from that thing, isn’t it? So, who is that? Once we die and the body is cremated, does anything that falls in the ‘My’ come with us? Your body, your family, your money, your home, everything remains here, and you leave. So, who is this ‘you’ that leaves? That is the REAL SELF! rnThe REAL SELF = The PURE SOUL withinrnWe are really Pure Soul. But due to our wrong belief, we think, “I am John.” This wrong belief of, ‘I am John’ is the origin of our ego. rnBody is just a temporary belonging, with a temporary identity of ‘John’for one birth. Our identity has to be permanent. rnPure Soul is permanent, it never dies and that is what we are! It stays PURE forever. It is full of light, energy, knowledge, and vision! It is immortal! “I am a PURE SOUL” is the RIGHT belief. rnThis right belief will solve all your problems. rnRemember, problems belong to John and they are temporary in nature. YOU are separate from John, you are a Pure Soul. Knowledge and bliss are the properties of the Pure Soul. Soul is the light of knowledge, full of eternal bliss. Its innate nature is full of happiness and peace. rnPeople who have realized the Self, “I am not John, I am a Pure Soul”, live their life in peace and bliss. rnThey suffer no pain during any problem as they are able to solve their worldly problems with the real, divine knowledge. Their ego may get easily bruised, but they know that ‘whose ego is getting bruised?’ We say, “my ego”, isn’t it? It means ego is separate from us. It is John’s ego that gets bruised, and you, the Pure Soul, are separate from John. John has anger, pride, deceit and greed; therefore John’s ego gets bruised. However, Pure Soul has no faults or mistakes! It is God, absolutely pure, without any contamination! Once you receive Self-Realization, even if John’s ego gets easily bruised and sensitized, ask him to seek strength from the Pure Soul (God) within. And if John makes any mistake, ask him to apologize before the Pure Soul (God) residing within the person he has given hurt or pain. John will sincerely repent and wash off his mistake, while you will feel the separation between the Pure Soul and the body, and hence have no suffering whatsoever. Gradually, all the faults of John will shed away and he will become Pure as well. Ultimately, he will soon attain final liberation (Moksha).
