This survey is a proof that Java is still utilized in a great numbers despite getting tough competitions from other such languages that were produced in the recent times. Similarly, in the last year as well, in another survey by tech-focused managers and recruiters, Java/J2EE ranked as the most preferred skillset and is recommended by one in every five job adverts. It may be true that Java is not as convenient as PHP and neither as popular as Android, but it certainly is the most profitable programming language ever made, and it's a fact as well. You may have thought that after having new languages such as PHP, what would be the need for learning the old way. But unfortunately for you, many companies still need those Java developers and they need it awfully as it would help them generate huge profits, which is not the case with other such languages. This is the main reason why Java developers are so much in demand and that is why they earn much better than programmers with skills in Android, PHP, etc. Another benefit with using Java is that the companies don’t need to have major alterations in their working platform with new technologies occurring every month.
