Real-Time Collaboration HUB (RHUB) is an appliance based web conferencing and video, audio conferencing product that works on innovative technology that combines several software applications like webinar, remote support and remote access as part of its web communicating systems. Presently this industry is dominated by giants like WebEx, Microsoft Live and other applications who aim to offer communication solutions, through gateways for businesses. The norm is for these service providers to offer web conferencing and telecommunications software for a subscription to small and medium sized businesses, important departments of most governments like the Justice department etc. Government departments in most countries today are moving towards convergence technologies and integrating their work processes into online formats is very critical, since sensitive data is often involved. However, there is one drawback, in what the present brands of web conferencing and telecommunication have on offer. All collaborations and services are routed through US located servers. Business and commercial institutions do not worry over the geographic locations of the servers as it does not affect their business. However, for government departments like in Novia Scotia, where the Justice Department chose to go the online way and found that most of the web conferencing companies offered US-based server services. This violated the province’s data routing and handling laws. The Novia Scotia Justice Department found that RHUB appliance with its innovative technology, did not have any such issues and besides the technology, the licensing fee; the appliance itself was so simple but very effective. The RHUB appliance, sized no larger than a SOHO router, with minimal power consumption, is built with the software to run multiple workstations, on remote server is remarkable and features that competing companies cannot duplicate. With multiple software applications – web conferencing, webinars, remote access and remote connection, RHUB offers client’s location dependent service and therefore non-contradictory for non-US/US-based firms to use.
