Why Panacur is Important for Puppies and Kittens?
Puppies and kittens look very cute no doubt, but you must also keep in mind that they are prone to diseases especially worming. There are various ways through which worms get inside puppies or kittens. If you find that your pets are suffering from worms then you must act fast and consult a vet. Worm not only affects your pet’s health, but there are certain types of worms that pass to human body also. So, don’t delay and act immediately. If your puppies and kittens have worms then there are chances that they are sourced from mum. Kittens and puppies often born with round worms that they get when they are still in their mother’s womb. Sometimes, worm also enters through mother’s milk.
Another source of worm is contaminated soil. Sometimes puppies or kittens accidentally ingest faeces of other infected animals. Worm eggs can survive in soil for more than a year. Sometimes fleas are infected with tapeworm larvae and pets tend to swallow these fleas that gradually grow inside the pets.
Eating mice or other small mammals can contribute a lot in worm infections. Similarly, scavenging is also dangerous as your pet might suffer from tapeworm. Thus it is highly recommended never to allow pets where they find carcase.
Panacur for cats are very effective in treating worm problems in your pet. Treatment must be started as soon as problem is detected. Some of the common symptoms that your puppy or kitten is affected with worm are poor coat condition, swollen stomach, weight loss, diarrhoea or constipation and lack of energy. These symptoms are common for cats and dogs also.
Panacur for kittens are given by vets based on their weights. In fact, any kind of treatment for worm infestations is dependent on the weight of your pet. So, it is important to ensure that your pet is weigh to locate the accurate dosing for panacur for cats.
When it comes to panacur for puppies or panacur for kittens vets generally recommend panacur paste, granules or liquid. The medicine is recommended to start from two weeks of age and given once daily for three consecutive days. The dosage should again be started when your puppy or kitten is 5,8 or 12 weeks of age. When it comes to panacur for dogs and panacur for cats they should be wormed after every three months.
Thus, you can understand that panacur is important not only to ensure the overall health of the pets, but also for your family. If you find that your pet is infected with warm consult a vet as soon as possible and start medications prescribed by him for overall health of your family and your pet.
