Dog fleas are more than just a problem they are a curse on the pet. This is because they carry a host of disease and some of these diseases will permanently damage the system of pets. Fleas and ticks are nothing but small blood sucking monsters that hijack your pet’s body and does not leave it easily. Let us have a close look at the dangers of fleas and tick infection on pets.

Dog fleas can considerable harm a child and cause a series of skin infection in them. In case the saliva enters the child’s mouth then it will harm its food track as well his intestine.

Dog fleas can cause Flea-Bite Anemia

Just like humans even animals need red blood cells to fight against all kind of infection and disease. When fleas suck out too much blood from the body of their host then the pet becomes anemic. More than these sick or older pets cannot produce more blood cells so on continuously sucking out blood, the pet is subjected to various diseases.

Fleabite can cause tapeworm in your pet in case it accidently takes in a flea. Fleas contain tapeworm eggs and they find the perfect place for breeding in the intestine of your pet. Tapeworm eats away all nutrition that you feed your pet and thus in spite of having good quality food, the pet becomes weak gradually. In most such cases people apply flea and tick medication but there is no use of it as the problem lies in the intestine of the pet. Thus you can see that how harmful dog fleas are both internally and externally for the pet.

Dog fleas are harmful to such an extent that they can also alter the normal functioning of the body parts. This can happen with a pet as well as with a human. This is more prevalent in younger humans and pets thus flea prevention is very crucial and must not be avoided at any cost.
