Why should you celebrate your next new year’s eve in Sydney?

A New Year’s Eve spent well at the right place with the right people is a joy to cherish forever. Last year, I was in Sydney with my cousin and we were extremely fortunate to watch the world-famous NYE fireworks on Sydney Harbour, that too from an exclusive New Year’s Eve cruise. It was indeed a magical experience! And now, we wonder what made that night so special and unforgettable. We’ve come up with a few speculations about Sydney NYE and you’ll probably see why it should be in your bucket-list.
Let’s begin with how we treated ourselves to a lifetime’s worth experience on a New Year’s eve cruise on Sydney Harbour. We boarded the cruise from the King Street Wharf station on Sydney Harbour at 5:45pm and as we set sail into the calm waters of the Harbour, we were guided to our seats by a friendly waiter. Since sunsets in Australia happen on the early side of the clock, we watched over a fete of colours and city lights as we drifted along the breathtakingly beautiful Sydney coastline. Our special dinner on the New Year’s Eve cruise was a deluxe 5-course meal which, I believe, is one of the best meals I’ve had in my entire life. Sydney Harbour to watch the iconic fireworks. The best thing about the cruise was that it drifted to a prime position that rendered a perfect montage of the fireworks and we loved it. Ours was a luxury catamaran cruise that had 3 expansive outer decks with an amazing view of the Sydney skyline and also the Sydney Harbour of Lights Parade.
Sydney sees an early dawn of the new year and is one of the first few places in the world to celebrate the new year’s eve. And on this extra-special occasion,the city dons a cape of youthful exuberance that attracts millions of people to the city every year. Since the new year’s celebration in the city coincides with the onset of summer, we observed an extra zing to the way they ring in the new year. While a majority of people rush to the Harbour precincts, some Sydneysiders love going on short trips and spend the new year’s away from the bustling crowds. For people who hate loud gatherings and celebrations, Sydney has several peaceful destinations to ring in the new year. We were excited to hear about many locals heading to the mountains, namely the Blue Mountains, to celebrate the arrival of the new year, where you’ll be swathed in nature’s splendour. Probably I’ll take my next new year’s eve to the mountains too. Sydney’s quirky love for beaches is a popular fact and we weren’t surprised to hear about the countless beach parties in Sydney on new year’s eve.
