For people who do not regularly download or upload files and stream video and audio rarely, an ultra high speed connection would probably be overkill. On the other hand for people who regularly use file sharing software or who upload high resolution photos onto a Flickr account a higher speed connection may prove a better investment because of the amount of transfer time it will save. Nevertheless if you invest the time and effort necessary to make an intelligent choice right from the start, you will thank yourself later.
