Humans have been eating fresh fruit, plants, and nuts 10-50,000 yrs or even more b4 we discovered fire, tools and implement to kill animals. Eating raw fruit and vegetables isn't the new fad diet, or the new South Beach Diet. Believe it or disbelieve it, humans have been eating this way long before they were eating processed junky foods. We did not have access to most kinds of foods. We were scavengers, picking fruits and eating plants were a delicacy. Nuts were also eaten for protein. It was either that or starve. Humans ate these fruits as is, no additions, no cooking. One and a half million years back we learned the simple way to cook. So for a half million years we ate the raw food, as it was intended. We are the sole animals in the world that cook their food. Consuming meat doubled the calorific intake of man, which made it better to hunt and have sufficient energy to do what should be done. Today, we have accessibility to each kind of food we'd like at our fingertips. We are able to order Oolong tea ( which must always be handpicked on cliffs in china ) from the Net. You might think that since we have come this far, we might be super human, so healthy we'd be living five hundred years. No so sadly. In reality in a lot of ways we have worse health now. Many of us are developing cancers while very young. Many of us are dying from heart problems or body weight problems. We're not eating in the correct way. We are stuffing our face with hydrogenated oils, fake products, high sodium and sweet foods. It is just nauseating. We are putting on the pounds at a worrying rate and looking horribly. It shows in the skin, sags of fat, slow perspective, depressed look, absence of sexual drive, and so on. I ponder how long we'd live if we evolved the diet of the Japanese. What folk must understand is that eating fat free or sugar free foods isn't going to help. It is not going to help if you stuff your face with break wells rather than Oreo's. What will help is to utterly change what you eat. Remember, you are what you eat, so eat the correct things and it'll show in your body, mind and soul.
