Choosing a web hosting plan but do you have full knowledge about the subject ? The important thing you need to know is the advantages and disadvantages of both hosting services in order to choose the one that best suits your requirements. When you purchase a reseller hosting plan or become a hosting reseller to earn money online, basically you buy some disk space on another web server. This is one of the most common service today advised to opt at initial stage if you don't have sufficient knowledge about the web hosting. Advantages of Reseller Hosting solution: Getting started with the reseller hosting is the easiest way to start your own website hosting company. If you are web developer and has a number of customers willing to host their websites along with your business, then getting a reseller web hosting account is an ideal solution to start. If you look from an economic perspective, the prices of reseller account are pretty lower than those of the dedicated servers for an initial investment. The reseller hosting plans are fully administered by whom the service is delivered to you. Hence, you don't have to be worried about the server performance, updates, upgrades, server security and the server management tasks. As we all know that every solution has two sides, despite all the advantages of reseller hosting it also holds some disadvantages which need to be considered. Disadvantages of Reseller Hosting solution: Though the web server are fully administered by the web hosting provider, however, there are times things may go wrong. A fact that you don't have full control over the server, such as security updates, overselling server space, etc... due to which your clients accounts are affected. For example, when the server hardware fails or there is a security breach, certainly it's going to affect your client accounts with a downtime for a certain period. Since, you don't have any control over the server where all the customer's accounts are hosted, you are solely in the hands of your reseller web hosting provider. Another disadvantage of reseller hosting is the limit you may have in your account. While there may be some uk web hosting providers selling unlimited reseller hosting account, some providers may capped the number of accounts or domain that you can have as a reseller. It simply means that you need to buy some extra space or upgrade your hosting plan when it reaches the top share of the account. Although, there are few disadvantages of reseller hosting solution, but the cost of this kind of account is pretty smaller than those of a dedicated server hosting plan. Secondly, as these servers are fully managed by the hosting providers itself, you don't have to worry about the server management tasks. All you need to do it to find some potential clients and set up their accounts. However, leaving the server management in the hands of another person simply means that you can't do anything except waiting till the issue gets solved. Not necessarily a bad thing, however, ensure that the web hosting provider you choose is reliable and secure in all ways.
