Website analytics is one of the essential work to grow your business website. Website analytics offers you tons of insights that exceedingly important for every website to check how your website is going on. Website analytics let you know the current report of your website. Along with that, it tells you what is the behavior of your site visitor, their interest, demographics, location, conversion, the most popular pages that drive traffic and pages that need improvements etc. There are many tools that give a brief insight into your website, but the one that I’m going to discuss in the article is Google Analytics. Google analytics is absolutely free, personally, my favorite website analytics tool that gives a brief website report and insights. It shows how your website visitors behave when they land on your site. The proper understanding of the analytics and accordingly changes in the strategies can help in business growth. Enhance User Experience In order to enhance the user experience, it important to understand your audience. Such as their interest, age, gender, location and the devices from your site visitors surf the site. When you understand these factors then there would be chances to of conversion. For example: If your site visitors are coming from different devices and use different browsers, then you can simply take a test of your website and determine if the site is fully compatible with devices of all sizes and all the major browsers such as safari, firefox, chrome. You can check the behavior of your site visitors under Google Analytics by clicking on the Audience. After clicking, an audience will further show the demographics, geo, behavior, mobile, browser, OS and much more. Once you know all these things then you can customize your site accordingly to make it more useful to your audience. Identify the Best Content and Focus on It Google analytics shows you all the pages that are getting more traffic. It shows what type of content works and what doesn’t, which web page are more popular, and showing you the impression, clicks and bounce rate of individual pages. Once you know the pages that working well, you can make it more informative, refurbish the old content to make web pages more attractive. Also, you can analyze and optimize the pages that are not working well just by adding the attractive call to action button, links on the page for better conversion. To identify the content, just click on the Acquisition, then search console and then landing pages Acquisition>>Search Console>>Landing Page. Improve Site’s SEO Search Engine Optimization is the most important thing for a successful website which increases conversion and sales. The more organic traffic you get the higher conversion is attained. Google Analytics enables you to know about organic and referral traffic. For example, if you get a decent amount of traffic through social media then you should definitely focus on it. Furthermore, If your Google Analytics is connected with the Google search console then you can track the search queries are driving the most traffic. It also provides the full data about impression, clicks, average click-through rate and position. Follow the Top Referrals By using Google Analytics, you can track top referral site from you are getting traffic. If your site content is so impressive and someone links to their web page, then there would be high chances for referral traffic. So, ignoring such sites is a big big mistake. What you can do is, check out the sites from where you are driving referral traffic, contact the person and ask for the partnership, it can get the more links opportunity.
