You wouldn’t usually consider a building site to be a place that needs much protection. They are not particularly attractive places to be and it is not as though there is a great deal to do there. Leave a building site completely unprotected however and you could arrive to work at the site in the morning to find something really quite bad has happened while you have been away. Vandalism

Some people take a great deal of satisfaction in destroying other people’s property and the damage they can cause can be immense. On a building site, structures may be severely damaged and tools broken whilst there is also the potential for damage to vehicles and other facilities to be done. If a structure was in the process of being built and is then destroyed it would have to be rebuilt again which could be very expensive in terms of man-hours.
