This is still one of my favorite spots. It's a beautiful relaxing ocean-side park that is on an island just off the coast of Maine. The coastal views are amazing, even just driving around on the scenic route is enjoyable. But the hikes are wonderful, and there are plenty of viewpoints to enjoy the rocky cliffs. It features Cadillac Mountain, one of the highest peaks on the East Coast, and one of the very first spots the sun reaches in the USA. The park is a must-visit for every ocean lover. Another personal favorite is the Bass Harbor Head Light, very Maine-esque yet also unique given the setting in the park. The quaint typical New England village at the park's entry is called Bar Harbor and is also a destination in itself.
