For example, you must have a web presence in today's day and age. If you don't, you can expect to be left behind by your competition.
There are many reasons why you need a website for your business. Here are just a few:
1. It gives prospects a place to learn more about you and your company. From services to contact information and much more, your website is your face to the online world. You want to include as many details as you can. This way, when a prospect visits your website you are giving yourself the best chance of turning them into a client.
2. Your competition likely has a web presence. You don't need to do everything that your competition does. However, this is one area in which you need to compete at a high level. If you are the only company in your industry without a website, what is it going to say about your overall business structure?
3. Help increase sales and profits. In today's world, there are many ways to sell products and services. Are you going to put a lot of time into your online plan? If not, you are making a mistake. In short, the more people who visit your website the better chance you have of making a sale. Increased traffic often times leads to increased profits. Does it get any easier than that?

Sure, some companies get away with not having an online presence but they are few and far between. To truly make the most of your business, while competing with others in your industry, you need to focus a lot of energy on your website.
