Why Your Ex Girlfriend Won’t Give You the Time of Day

Breakups can be one of the most painful things that most people will go through in their lives. I can be truly devastating to watch your relationship fall apart--sometimes in an instant--and watch your girlfriend walk out the door.

But what makes it even harder is when your ex girlfriend will just flat out ignore you or block you out of her life, leaving you with all sorts of unanswered questions about why she left on top of the pain you’re already going through.

Why would she do this? What caused her to go from someone who loved you so dearly to someone who you seemingly have to struggle just to get her to talk to you at all?

Well, the first thing you need to understand is that she probably thought about breaking up long and hard before she actually pulled the trigger. Most people don’t take breaking up lightly. Oftentimes they will put up with an unsatisfactory situation for quite some time before actually working up the courage to break up.

Maybe she just didn’t voice her frustrations, or maybe the problem went unaddressed for far too long. Either way, most women don’t break up with guys on a whim. It takes a lot of consideration before they come to this conclusion.

She’s probably not talking to you because after all this consideration, because she feels like she needs to distance herself from you in order to be strong and avoid slipping back into the relationship.

Either way, she’s decided that she doesn’t want the relationship (at least for now), and she is pushing you away and ignoring you because she is trying to resist her urge to try to work things out. She wants time to live with the consequences of her decision to leave you.

Know that on the inside she probably does still love your or care for you. She may even be aching to try and work things out. But you also have to understand that she did a very big thing by breaking up with you and she can’t just take that back.

She would feel silly, so in order to convince herself that she made the right move, she is blocking you from her life. It may sound harsh, but that’s the reality of the situation.

This doesn’t mean that you can’t work things out with her later on, but understand that for now, she probably will strongly resist spending time with you, or even talking to you at all.
