The Wilson Company was founded by Thomas Wilson in 1916 in Chicago, Illinois. It is a little know fact that company was later acquired by the Finnish giant Amer Sports, which now manages Wilson as its foreign subsidiary. Wilson is a giant in the tennis industry and now sponsors major players such as Roger Federer, Serena Williams, Mardy Fish, Feliciano Lopez, Sania Mirza and Andrea Petkovic. The list of player who have used Wilson racquets throughout their careers includes tennis legends Pete Sampras and Steffi Graf. "Pistol" Pete played with a Wilson 6.1 for as long as just about anyone can remember. And Steffi won most of her 22 Grand Slam titles with a Wilson racquet in her hand.
