When it comes to family celebrations and gatherings, a bottle of wine should always be present. You can't have a toast without everyone's favorite wine. Apart from that, it's always been a tradition to include different kinds of wine during outings and parties. All over the world, the custom of drinking wine after a hearty meal is very popular and have been done by civilizations from all over the world. And now, there's a new reason why you should start drinking wine after meals. Health experts have found out that Resveratrol, an antioxidant that helps in cellular growth and structure, is a main component inside wine. Resveratrol comes from the skin of red grapes, which is the main ingredient for red wine. It's interesting though that health buffs always recommend red wine, since, it's undoubtedly, a great source of Resveratrol and other beneficial goodies. It is still a hot topic for research for now, but it has been proven that if taken moderately, red wine helps prevent arterial wall damage, clogging arteries, and raising HDL, otherwise known as "good cholesterol". The same holds true with beer. Beer is made from grains and wheat; the only reason why you don't taste any of those is because of the process undergone by the grains to produce that flavor every beer enthusiast loves. A moderate amount of beer is good for your system and it also helps people calm down and relax after a whole day's work. Unlike wine though, beer is often favored by a lot of men. According to old folks, wine also serves as a good way of fighting depression. Well, I do see a lot of people drinking wine whenever they have problems, but studies does show that people with depression feel better. But this is where I tell my friends about the fine line between drinking beer and wine in moderation and in excess. As they all say, drinking too much wine is bad for you. In fact, one of the leading causes of most diseases is related to alcohol abuse. Liver problems, hypertension, and diabetes are just some of the many problems associated with alcohol abuse. Red wine is, by far, the healthiest. Doctors advise people to drink just one glass of red wine per day. You can have your wine during lunch or dinner, although a lot like the idea of drinking red wine after dinner time. One of the reasons why is that it helps with digestion. With regards to the best wine I had, it was when I was vacationing in France; the Pinot Noir was the most popular because it has plenty of Resveratrol in it. In the United States though, the best one I tried is Cabaret Sauvignon. Merlot, Syrah and Zinfandel are great as well. What's the good practice of drinking wine the healthy way? It actually depends on you. If you'd like to drink a few shots of red wine after dinner, then that's fine. It is usually acceptable to drink red wine after eating dinner, since it helps with digestion. Also, don't just limit yourself with red wine. There are other kinds of wine that are healthy as well. More importantly, always remember that wine is still alcohol. Don't drink too much to the point of getting drunk because you'll definitely regret it. Remember to drink wine moderately. You can talk to your doctor or with a nutritionist in order to find the right one for you. Red wine ain't exactly for everyone, so you may want to double-check on this before buying an expensive bottle of Cabaret Sauvignon! Have a toast for your health!
