Winter Jacket: To keep you protected against the cold
Essential part of anyone's wardrobe, the winter jacket is gaining in popularity because of the increasing tendency towards informality. Gone are the days of formal two-piece or three-piece suits with ties or cravats and a hat and the heavy winter coat. The younger generation prefers the more casual look and so prefers the winter jacket made of polar fleece, Gore tex or some such material that keeps out the cold, the wind and the rain.
Jackets have evolved over centuries from tunics which were used as the outermost garments in Greek and Roman times. A winter jacket is an informal winter coat that is made of inexpensive but warm material that can be of any color of your choosing unlike a winter coat which is formal and is made of wool or plaid and has a restricted range of sober and subtle colors.
A winter jacket can be a fleece jacket or a winter sports ski jacket. It could also be a mens down jacket or a softshell jacket or even a Gore Tex jacket. The difference in the selection of material and styling turn a winter jacket into say, a ski jacket or a softshell jacket. Jackets are usually worn outdoors and if a cheaper version of a winter jacket is desired, you can opt for a wholesale outdoor jacket online and you can get a real bargain.
In places where it rains a lot a Gore Tex jacket is preferred or a winter jacket with the Gore Tex fabric fused in the upper layer is very popular.
Covering the torso till the waist a winter jacket is a casual unisex garment. It usually has a collar and cuffs that are elastic and can hold the wrist. The winter jacket is worn over all other clothes and is primarily meant to protect the user from the chilly weather. It has a zippered closure that ensures that there Is no opening for the elements to sneak in and make the user uncomfortable. A winter jacket can be worn over jeans or a skirt or any informal pair of trousers. It can be worn during the day or in the evening for any informal occasion. If your work place does not insist on formal attire, a winter jacket can be worn to work rather than the stuffy winter coat. It can be worn to school or college or on a date. A winter jacket is a versatile garment and one that everyone must have.
