Make a buffer Use epoxy resin to glue an old piece of carpet to a block of wood to make a buffer. Make several and use one to buff shoes, another to wipe blackboards, and one to clean window screens. Cushion kitchen shelves Reduce the noisy clattering when putting away pots and pans: Cushion kitchen shelves and cabinets with pieces of carpet. Protect workshop tools Does your workshop have a floor made of concrete or another hard material? If so, put down a few carpet remnants in the area closest to your workbench.
