With electronic cigarette it is more of a nicotine modelled service. The smoke is incorporated with thousands of toxic chemicals. Any vapour that you inhale from an electronic cigarette is bound to have serious issues when you are pregnant. Traces of chemicals in the form of nickel or chromium could have serious issues on the developing baby. There are serious misconceptions in terms of electronic cigarettes. This is all the more so in case of pregnant women. You still need to take note of the fact that smoking be it from any source the traditional or electronic cigarettes goes on to incorporate nicotine into the body. Till date no safe level of nicotine exposure has been found during pregnancy. If there is exposure to nicotine before birth it can lead to altered brain functions along with a host of deformities in a baby. If you use tobacco during pregnancy it can increase chances of miscarriage, premature delivery along with emergence of infant syndrome all of a sudden. The worse aspect is that nicotine be it from regular or electronic cigarettes also reflects in your breast milk. In the world that we reside no woman even a pregnant woman should smoke. But sadly all of us are not part of such a world and woman who smoke do become pregnant. The moment you are pregnant and if you are into any form of smoking you should stop it on an immediate basis.
