Creating an effective internet campaign is not something easy; therefore you must use all the available elements that lead to success. A press release offers you two instant paybacks: the first is that many visitors will see your press release and may be interested in using your product or service. The second benefit is the link to your website that you will put inside the press release, meaning that you receive an inbound link from every single website that displays your press release. A really appealing article has always the potential to create a "wave" of hundreds or even thousands of one-way links.
The gold-unwritten rule when writing a press release is this: Do not make it look like an advertisement for your online business. You must earn peoples trust so make it look like a professional jou
alist wrote it. Before you start writing, think why the readers of an online magazine or portal would be interested in your subject. Moreover, a press release must always be newsworthy so you should create one when you really have something important to write about.
The list below pinpoints the most important features of a good press release.
1. The information's must always be newsworthy, so wait until you have something interesting enough.
2. Explain why the visitor should be interested and why they should continue to read it.
3. Write at the beginning a brief description of the news and also one or two statements from people that work for this company.
4. Like on every other article, the first words are the most important, so make sure to begin with something interesting that grabs the reader's attention.
5. Do not use extensively very impressive and highly sophisticated language.
6. Write clearly about the facts.
7. Make available a lot of contact information: Contact name, physical address, phone number(s), fax, email address, website address.
The Detailed Stepsr
First of all you write "Press release", the company's name and the date. Place a bold type headline on the left that is easy to understand, explains the main idea and make visitors want to read on.
In the first paragraph do you best to arouse curiosity. Write more about the subject you already mentioned on the headline. Focus on what will happen or has happened, where and who is involved. Try to think what a trade journal or a local newspaper would be very interested in.
The next paragraphs provide detailed answers for the how, why and when. A personal quote is necessary. Make sort and clear sentences that are easy to understand and make it look like a newspaper report not like an advertisement. Do not forget to talk about your business in the third person, so instead of "we" use "it". After the last paragraph write "end" and then provide all the contact details.
Where To Publish Your Press Releaser
Of course, after you write your precious press release, you must find ways to publish it to as many places as you possibly can in order to attract the media and make it available to more people. A good place to start is PRWeb, which is the largest online press release service on the internet at the moment. I highly recommend this service, since they specialize for many years on internet press releases distribution with great results. If you are good in public relations and have some friends in the local media, maybe a newspaper or a magazine will also publish it. If you think that this process is difficult for you because you are not a good writer or simply do not have enough time for all this, you can pay a press release newswire service and do everything for you. Be careful though and pick a recognized service that has some years of experience.
Hopefully, you will follow some of the methods I've outline in my article to get traffic and build a readership.
