Yoga, for centuries have know to give a healthy mind and body which in turns makes the skin glow. It helps to increase the blood circulation, naturally remove toxins from the body, improve the digestive process and simultaneously provide a cooling effect which helps the skin to retain its glow. Therefore, try the sequence given below to benefit from this ancient art. A Sequence for Glowing Skin 1. Cobra Pose (Bhujangasana) Relax while you lie down on your stomach with the toes flat on the floor and forehead resting on the floor. Keep the legs and feet together. Place your hands with the palms facing downward, under your shoulders. Bend your elbows to keep it parallel, close to the body and to point them behind you instead to the sides. Now, get ready to lift the head along with your chest and abdomen slowly, keeping the top front of your pelvis on the floor while you take a deep breath in. Look straight ahead, exert equal pressure as you press the hands into the floor. Pull your body back and off the floor. Keep breathing as you try to straighten your arms by arching your back as much possible. But, do not over exert keep your shoulders relaxed, if required let the elbows stay a little bent. Hold this position for 30-60 seconds and then gently bring your upper body back to the floor while breathing out. 2. Shoulder Stand (Salamba Sarvangasana) Lie down on a flat surface where the body can be absolutely straight and relaxed. Place your palms on the floor facing downward, press them taking a deep breath as you gradually lift your legs up. Now, support your waist with the palms in order to raise your legs further up. Along with that lift off the floor your hips and the rest of the body so, they are perpendicular to the the floor with the entire weight on the shoulder blades. Continue to breathe with your elbows placed on the floor to find the right balance. Hold the pose for about 50-100 counts and then lower your legs first and then the hands. 3. Triangle Pose (Trikonasana) Stand straight with your feet comfortably wide apart. Turn your left foot making a 90 degree with the body and a 15 degree angle on the inside with the right foot. Make sure that the weight of your body is equally balanced on both the feet. Then, inhale deeply and turn your body to the left and bend from the hip, keep the waist straight. As you move, bring your left hand down towards the floor to rest it on the floor beside the foot or on the ankle. And, the right hand that comes up in the air, stretch it towards the ceiling or the sky in line with your shoulder. Be certain that your body is bent sideways and not forward of backward. Turn your head to the left, gazing the right palm. Keep taking deep breaths as you stay in this position for 30 second to one minute. Bring your arms down to your sides and repeat it with the right foot for the same length of time.
