Just like a diamond is polished by friction, you too eventually will glow if you can view the bumpiness of your journey as a polishing process.
It’s your current predicament that will push you to push your limits...that will make you realize that the only limits that exist are those you accept for yourself.
Enjoy the rough moments of your life, for they make the smooth ones count....they make you grow, expand, feel alive.......they will in time make you shine.
“A gem cannot be polished without friction, nor can you be perfected without trials.”
- Chinese Proverb
Exercise:
1-Time to Grow: Realize that challenges are to your growth as water and sunlight are to the growth of a plant. Without them, there’s no growth. Next time you encounter a challenge adopt a mindset of excitement by saying excitingly “It’s time to grow.”
2-Track Back: What actions can you take to make sure that what happened doesn’t happen again? Track back your steps to what caused your current situation to happen. Draw a couple of mental signs so that if you ever go down that path again you will be reminded of the consequences.
3-Move On: It doesn’t matter how excited first grade’s lessons were, if you didn’t move on you would still be in first grade. So learn what you have to learn as soon as you can from your current challenges so you can move on to the next set of lessons.

“Weight-Train” Your Brain
I have a new cell phone. I didn’t want a new cell phone; I was perfectly happy with my 2020 cell phone, but it wasn’t happy with me. Its connector charging port was ailing. Failing, actually, the service tech told me. And besides, it was an old phone, what did I expect? Old? This to a woman who is more than content, read “thrilled,” to wear outdated fashions just because she likes them. And would willingly keep computers way past their supposed “shelf life.” Sigh. OK, fine,
