Here is a list of things I do when I get depressed. 1. Make a cake, run down to the store and buy one of those cake mix boxes. You only need like three ingredients to bake your own delicious dessert. It gives you something to do, and the reward is the result! Make sure to buy some milk, cake and milk perfect combination. 2. Online chatting, I am becoming addicted to the net because I love to write and speak my mind, and you should too! If you’re not into that, maybe you’re more of chatter. Go into a chat room and start an interesting conversation with someone. It could possibly take your mind off your boredom...hopefully. Or just write annoying lists like I do! 3. Go seek out a new restaurant to eat at- break away from the habit of going to your favorite restaurant all the time. You should try something new, something odd. You won't be bored I promise. Take a Friend. 4. If you are a musical person who enjoys activities sitting down...buy a flute and learn how to play. It increases your value as a human being and what better way to show off your talents. 5. Not a lot of cash? Check your local movie places, go to a movie before 3 pm it usually around $4.50 a movie! Now that’s saving some money compared to the $8.50 they charge for evening movies. 6. Have a picnic? I rather enjoy these. With the right group of friends and the right food, it feels like a vacation. Also bring a football to toss around or your baseball mitt and ball. 7. Read a book, my last suggestion...read a book. It is statistically proven that today's average American does not read very often. You must read! It is sad that the society we live in today does not give much importance to the art of reading a book. Something to be alarmed about: most kids these days are terrible at reading and writing because they are being raised in an atmosphere where reading is often over looked as a non-exciting thing to do. 8. Play online games- get online and surf the web for some fun online games to play. What’s great about this you can make new friends in the game community and challenge them for the high score. My favorite online game website is www.megaonlinegames.com they have thousands of games to choose from and keep me coming back for more. 9. Start a garden, growing a garden has become one of my favorite things to do every spring. What’s great about a garden it will keep you busy everyday with the pulling of weeds and making sure vegetables are growing under the right conditions. The bonus part is when it’s time to pick off the ripe delicious fruit or vegetable when it has matured for the picking. 10. Go for a walk, what better way to get out and get some much needed exercise then a walk. I lost 4 pounds in a month when I started to take up walking in my neighborhood.
