Are you finally at the point in your life when you’re ready for change?

Do you really want to change or are you hoping other people and circumstances will change?

If you’re hoping people and circumstances will change then you can stop reading this article now and be prepared to see yourself in the future as you are right now.

If you are still reading this, you are more than likely ready, so read on.

Are you more aware of who you are and what you want in life? Have you made up your mind not to live the rest of your life feeling the way you do now? Great! So now what?

Around this time you might be hearing those little voices in your head get louder and louder. Those little voices appear when you declare you want to make changes in your life, but you haven’t started taking action yet. Remember those voices are there to keep you stuck and in your comfort zone.
You might be hearing things like.

“What did I just get myself into?”

“I can’t change, who do I think I am?”

“I know what I don’t want anymore, but I really don’t know what I do want, help!”

“I don’t know who to turn to for advice and I don’t want to embarrass myself by asking people I know.”

“What if I try something new and it doesn’t work, then what?”

“My parents never told me I could be happy. They always told me what I don’t want and I should become who they want me to be.”

Believe it or not, this is your life and you only get one chance at it. So, now is as good a time as any to start down the road to living the life you really want.

Here are some steps to follow:
1. Know you are human and you’re not going to live forever.
2. Know that your past is gone and it was made up from stories that are mostly not true.
3. Know that your future is not here, so live in the present and live the way you want.
4. Take responsibility for yourself, your life and your happiness.
5. Write down on a piece of paper how you want to be different than you are now.
6. Start taking baby steps toward the life you want. Don’t listen to the toxic people in your life.
7. Start acting like the person you want to be. If you want to be happy, put a smile on your face and start being optimistic. If you want to have better relationships learn to listen at a deeper level and communicate differently than you do now.
8. If you notice that doing this on your own isn’t working, don’t ever give up. Try something new and always remember, you are not alone and you don’t have to do it by yourself. There are people who have been in your shoes and are now living the life they want.

Are you ready to give it a try? Good for you!
