Have you ever wondered if there is a link between your thoughts, your feelings and your health? Wouldn't it be nice if we were able to treat the root cause of a disease ratber than treating the symptoms?
Newer scientific research in cell biology and epigentics supports that the majority of all disease is indeed stress related. (Segerstrom and Miller, 2004; Bruce Lipton)
Disease and stress

According to META-Medicine there is a link between disease and experiencing an emotionally very stressful event that was unexpected, dramatic, isolating and where you felt there was no way out. The reason for this is that emotions and thoughts are energy and when we experience a shock, this energy gets trapped in the body at the brain and organ level at the same time. When the energy gets trapped the cells no longer function at the optimum level and over time this can lead to disease, if we don't release the stress.
Your body is intelligent

Seen from a META-Medicine perspective a specific emotional shock like this is related to a specific disease in a specific organ. The body is intelligent and when it creates a disease, it was not by mistake. Your body is constantly guiding us to resolve whatever emotional challenges, we are facing. If we don't manage to resolve the stress before it manifests as disease, the body offers us another opportunity to resolve the shock by making it more visible for us to deal with. As human beings we are more likely to ignore stress at the emotional level whereas stress at the physical level usually makes us want to find out what is going on.
How can we apply META-Medicine

So how can we apply this knowledge about the link between our thoughts, feelings and disease? Well, the body is basically providing us with all the information that we need. When we know which organ is affected, we also know the feeling the client has been experiencing, so the remaining challenge is to find out when and what happened.
By talking to the client the moment when they experienced the shock is identified. To release the shock I use a range of different tools that are all very powerful such as Time line therapy, Matrix Reimprinting or META-Healing.
What is META-Medicine useful for

The META-Medicine analytical tool can be used to identify the emotional trigger of any physical symptom or disease. Once the trapped energy from the emotional shock has been released, the self-healing powers of the body are activated, which will support the the body in the healing phase.
Healing and change is a 360 degree process

Since disease is primarily related to stress, healing a symptom or a disease usually involves changing your life style on many levels, because a lot of factors in our lives stress us. It could be the physical environment that somehow doesn't support us, it could be a relationship or a work environment that no longer serves us. It could be habits that don't support our healing process – like not exercising, having unhealthy eating habits or not allowing yourself to do what you love doing because of limiting beliefs that you can't or you think other people won't like you if you do. This will all be mapped out for you in your META-Medicine health plan that we will create together. It's very important that the new habits feel good and right for the client, so they take ownership of them and feel capable of implementing them.
IMPORTANT: A META-Medicine consultation does NOT replace a medical diagnosis and it ONLY deals with the emotional stress. You should always have a medical diagnosis before having a META-Medicine consultation.
