Hebrews13:1 Let brotherly love continue.(Holy Bible-KJV)
Many times we blame outside circumstances and other people for our own stagnant position in life. We remain stuck because we have not basically said "yes" to our goals or to whatever is calling us. It is so easy to indict a bad childhood, a divorce or some other force for our failure to actualize our dreams.
Life is so fleeting that we can not allow ourselves to just sit unconsciously and not celebrate the pure miraculous essence of it. The miraculous is all around us. It is time to open our spiritual eyes to savor and celebrate every precious moment of the miraculous as it assuredly unfolds in our lives.r
Many times you will face attacks by Satan in all kinds of forms. He will seem to be coming at you from all directions, but guess who will still be laughing even in the midst of the assaults? Yes, that's right! YOU!!!! I am a witness that no matter how hard enemies attack, even in the midst of trouble, the dust of confusion, outright devilish assignments and character assassination attempts, God will give you joy over your enemies. You will have joy because of the covering of God. He will cover you so that you will be so immune to Satan's tricks, that you will be able to dance with joy!
The Realm of Possibilities There is a realm that one can operate on where the impossible becomes possible. There is a place or plane in reality where there are no limits. It is hard to comprehend with our finite minds, however. It takes incredible faith. It takes a faith that is unlimited, undefined and pure. It takes unleashed faith to ride the waves of the incredible possibilities of life.
So often we accept the declarations that others have made conce ing our own lives, wellbeing or fate. It is imperative that we recognize that in order to achieve what we want in life, we must not give our power away to others by accepting their declarations conce ing our affairs. When one decides that he or she will boldly declare good fortune, wellness, joy, etc. relative to his or her life, all of heaven will break loose!Goodness and mercy shall surely follow. From birth, we are often told what we are going to be.
In these modern times, we have a tendency to take love lightly without forethought relative to the potency and potential healing effect that real love has. Real love does not just lie in the heart "for" a person. It reaches out "to" the person. We very loosely use the word to express our sentiments toward others, but real love moves beyond the lines of mere emotion or sentimentality. How well do you really know or care to know the "object of your affections"? Do you know that person's favorite color? Do you know what makes them smile, or cry? Do you know their life's mission?
I was amazed at the response from a person I ran into at the store today. When that person asked me how I was doing and I said "excellent", he seemed offended. He went on to state that "no one is doing excellent....you may be doing good, but you are not doing excellent!" At this point, I just repeated," Yes, I am excellent." What the person didn't understand is that we serve an excellent God. In Him we move and have our being. Psalm 8:1 says " How excellent is thy name in all the earth." In Jesus' name I am doing excellent. No, I don't have a million dollars in the bank, but I'm not broke.
Many times we are afraid to move forward toward our goals. Sometimes, we spend time reminiscing about past failures instead of exploring the reasons we may have failed. The essential key to moving forward in spite of setbacks, is to explore what went wrong and change the "how", not the "what". Failure does not have to be terminal if we explore all of our options in the face of it.r
Sometimes, in life, we become anxious in trying to have everything work out perfectly. We often seek the perfect job, the perfect house, the perfect spouse, the perfect car etc. The truth is there is no such "country" by that name. For one to experience real joy, everything does not have to be perfect. Once this premise is established, one can relax and enjoy all of the blessings and miracles of life. For example, just because your child does not get all "A's" in school does not mean that he or she can not get into a good college or become productive in life.
Inside all of us is a wealth of untapped potential far beyond our own imaginations and belief. There are hidden gems just waiting to be discovered, explored and excavated. God put us on this planet to not just breathe, but to serve Him by serving others. It is difficult to help others if we ourselves have not developed or expanded into the magnanimous, dynamic beings that we were created to be.
I was listening to a person sometime ago, and I have to admit that, as they spoke of how they were so blessed because of the way they served God, including paying all their tithes and their other good deeds, I wished that I, too, did everything right. As I wistfully listened, I wanted so much to be "good", but the reality was that I didn't give all of my money to the church and I don't think very highly of the wicked and people who do bad things to children and the elderly. Sometimes I can think of a few things to say to people who are downright disrespectful, mean and rude.

I have heard people say that "God does not put more on you than you can bear". Actually, God is not the one who is afflicting you. It is the devil or satan. It is he who is roaming the earth seeking whom he can devour. It is his intent to steal, kill, and destroy, not God's! God is for us, so much so, that He sent His only Son to die so we might live. Jesus came to save the world, not to condemn it! Satan would have us think that his evil plans for us are from God. We are not to be fooled! God delivers us from the plans of the devil and his afflictions. God is not the perpetrator.
Someone recently called from another state. She was struggling with family resentment, criticism and outright lies against her character. Often in counseling sessions, I will ask questions to cut through the maze and get to the heart of the matter. This case was no different. I asked her very simply to reflect upon the 23rd Psalm which begins with "The Lord is my shepherd". Then, I asked her "Who is your shepherd?" Are you going to let trouble lead you or are you going to let the Lord lead you to green pastures and beside the still waters?
Thankfulness can not be over rated. It is the elixir that makes the trials of life more palatal. The tests that we face become much easier to digest when we wash them down with gratitude. We can not stop events that seem to be disastrous from occurring in our lives, but we can cushion ourselves with a grateful attitude. I am not purporting that one be thankful for the bad things that occur, but rather , look for all of the good things that do occur and be thankful. Maybe you do not live in a big mansion, but you have a comfortable bungalow that does not leak.
John5:4-7rn For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had. 5 And a certain man was there, which had an infirmity thirty and eight years. 6 When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, Wilt thou be made whole? 7 The impotent man answered him, Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled, to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.r
God will sometimes give you a personal word, just for you! It will be precise, sharp and clear. It will be so "on point" that you know that it is expressly designed to meet your needs, situation or circumstance. You may be in the middle of a famine, a drought or a problem in your life, but there is a personal word from God that can solve every problem and cancel out the designs or plans of the enemy. I am a witness! Sometimes, even in the midst of the destructive intentions of the enemy, God will speak peace, give you a solution or reassurance, etc.
Excerpt from my book: "The Crab Effect" The subtitle of this book is "How to Handle the Haters in Your Life". One thing that is incredibly evident when one sets out to follow the path and purpose that God has ordained for his or her life is that with certainty, there will be haters trailing behind at almost every turn to defame, discredit, and assassinate the very plans of God for your life. In my grandmother's time, this used to be referred to as the "Crab Effect". The reference was to the effect that steam has on crabs in a pot.
Finding what inspires you to become self actualized can greatly reduce anxiety. Inspiration can be found everywhere if one looks for it. It can be found in a baby's playful gurgling, a running brook, a floating cloud and the list goes on. There is literally no end to inspiration in the world around us. Other places that inspiration can be found are too many to list here, but these are just a sampling: 1. Movies that have a good moral or happy ending. 2.A piece of jewelry. 3.A tree. 4.Flowers. 5.A pine cone. 6.A beautiful poem. 7.A pet. 8.A sky after a storm. 9.A pretty picture.r
Every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God is powerful and four of those powerful words come straight from the prayer that He taught us to pray in the book of Mathew in the Bible. They are "Thy Will Be Done!" It is the Lord's will that we need in our lives! We cannot trust our own understanding of situations becuase we can not see the end from the beginning like God can. He already knows how we need to proceed, and the outcome. He knows what is really going on behind the scenes and He only wants the best for us.
Creativity is a cycle. It involves being open to new ideas and new ways of doing things. Creativity is a cycle because it begets more creativity. In other words, the more you develop creativity, the more creative you will be. For instance, once you decide to become creative, you will see things in unique ways. Once the cycle starts, your mind will be on a roll in letting your imagination run freely. Now you will no longer see things in a strict or narrow way. Now, a metaphor for clouds can be silky balls of wool or cotton.

Often we look for joy outside of ourselves, but the capacity to find joy lies within us. Everyone has the ability to embrace the joy that is all around us, but this ability comes from the inside first. If one does not have inner joy, nothing from the outside world will create it. One has to make the decision to be joyful, to let your joy spring forth from the way you view your world and your circumstances. All conditions in your outer world don't have to be perfect for you to experience the fullness of joy.
It seems that today, more and more people are walking around asleep, dazed by the perceived perilous economic upheaval and uncertain government moves or regulations. Some are just burned out and would rather tune out instead of facing life with boldness and direct communication and action. It is possible to live this life purposely, energetically and with eyes open. One must make this decision with boldness and confidence that he or she can meet the challenges of life head-on instead of retreating into a coma-like state. It is time to wake up!r
I was talking to one of my closest friends early this morning. We discussed some of the things in our lives that God has brought us through. As we talked, I thought about some of the things that life had brought my way. Then, I thought about the majesty of it all; how no matter what, God was always there. I thought about how majestic He is and how when the rain comes down in torrents, He is your umbrella and when you are bombarded with first one thing and then another, He is your hiding place.
When the Lord is truly sanctified in your heart, you can humbly give every man an answer for the hope that you still express even in the middle of trouble, adversity, etc. You can totally persevere in the face of the boisterous winds of opposition, financial stress, relationship and work related problems or whatever! You can testify that God is still good and good only. Circumstances may change, but God never does, so when you give people an answer of hope, you are not looking at the circumstances, your hope is in the miraculous, omnipotent and omnipresent power of God!
