An Introduction Vladimir... Life: It’s about Changer
An Introduction to Peter Vidmar. Have you ever been asked to visualize your goals in order to see them through? Perhaps as a child your parents encouraged you to visualize succeeding in an athletic event before you actually attempted it, or to visualize acing that test you had been frantically studying for. While these suggestions might seem like a simplistic way to help a child or teen relax before attempting a task, there is truth to the power of visualizing a goal to actualize your success.
Some say that life is too short when in fact most of us take too long to begin living it. Many of us have grand travel plans to that infamous place called “someday”; the place we’ll go to enjoy ourselves and try something we have always wanted to. Of course, not until our obligations and responsibilities are taken care of.
In my line of work I spend a considerable amount of time with CEOs, executives, and entrepreneurs who are working to unlock the potential in their people and business. On occasio I get to spend time with leaders who have an infectious passion and commitment for their work, primarily because it aligns with their life’s purpose. When I come across this type of a person and company, I find myself wanting to spread the word and support their work.
An Introduction to Authenticity-- A Simple Life Lesson Far Too Often Forgottenr
The best way to fill your life with all the warmth, sincerity and virtue that every single one of us strives for, is to be true to your word. It’s that simple and that complicated.
Introductionr In life what you receive is valuable, but what you BECOME is far more in-valuable because no one can take that away from you. And in "becoming" more, we often learn why the phrase is "growing pains'’; not “growing pleasures”. The test arrives before the lesson plan, and even the best study and practice cannot truly prepare for the "tests" we decide to administer to ourselves.
What does it take to look beyond the brick and mortar fitness facility — your primary source of business — and instead focus on the greater needs of the consumer? Who is positioned to truly contribute to creating healthy communities around the United States and possibly the world? Take a look at a new offering from Technogym called "The Key." While not the first company to develop a pedometer type of product, it may very well be the first to link the gym with other fitness activities that happen away from the gym.
Introduction One has to have a dream to make a dream come true. This in no way implies that the path to fulfillment will be an easy one. As a matter of fact, life will test your commitments on a daily basis. It might be fair to say that if you can get knocked off the position from which you stand, perhaps you were not truly committed to that position. In the story below you will read about a man who returned to his position each and every time the challenges of life sought to keep him down. Deep down we all “Aspire” to unleash our true potential
Bill Kazmaier, better known to anyone who meets him as “Kaz”, was for a period of time one of the world’s strongest who ever lived. In a most incredible feat of strength at the age of 25, Kazmaier won the American Power Lifting and the International Power Lifting Championship’s in 1979. He then went onto win the World’s Strongest Man title three years in a row from 1980 to 1982. From the late 70’s and up until today, Kazmaier continues to demonstrate unparalleled strength.
Early one morning several years ago, I stood in an asphalt parking lot with about 30 fellows all over 40 years old, attempting to respond to the commands of a very fit looking chap who was in charge of warming us up. We were in Riverside Califo ia for a team building exercises designed through a series of paint ball games. While many were out late the night prior, the leisurely and luxury bus ride provided ample space to sleep, along with hearty food and drink to comfort the troops.
Introduction At times the insight and perspective we seek in life can come from places that we least expect. As you read this weeks story, while these 'teachers' don't always seem to respond to my inspirational leadership; they have provided a 'gift' of renewed knowledge in true life leadership. As an old saying goes, "When the student is ready the teacher appears". I received a double dose. Great Gifts Come in Small Packages
An Introduction to Shimon Peres... We have all heard of the importance of having the right attitude, staying positive, and looking at the brightside of things. This advice, for the great majority of us, is easier said than done. Why is that? We all want to do well, feel good, enjoy relationships, and experience the rewards of life well lived. How is it that we seem to have little time, more than our fair share of stress, and harbor regrets of what we could have done or should be doing with our lives?
Throughout my career I’ve had the incredibly good fortune of spending time with the late Jack LaLanne: the very man who at 41 proved it was possible to escape from Alcatraz Island by swimming to Fisherman’s Wharf while wearing handcuffs, at 45 completed 1000 push-ups and 1000 chin-ups in one hour 22 minutes and at 60 swam again from Alcatraz to the wharf while handcuffed. This time he was also shackled and towing a 1000-pound boat and at 70 battled the currents of Long Beach Harbor while handcuffed, shackled and towing 70 boats holding 70 people for one and a half miles.
Achieving and sustaining a healthy and high quality of life has parallels to the requirements of building a growing and profitable business. Both involve facing daily obstacles and deterrents, and both require the support of great people to encourage you to stay on track.
